Spring Fever

I grew up in the country with 5 acres a huge garden, a lake, chickens, cows, and horses. Now I live in the city, but I still want to grow veggies and be a country girl, but it's challenging with 1/8 acre lot which is taken up mostly with a house. Last year I made due with 2 small flower beds beside the house but I'm thinking of digging up the whole (small) back yard this year. I'll have my own little fruit and veggie stand out in front of my house.......wait for it.......

it has been a LONG time

OK, so I am just going to fill you all in on WHY i have been away so long. Well.....I have been working on dresses and leather stuff. I upholstered my coffee table with leather, opened an etsy store, I am getting into Gods word more, and soon I will be watching a friends baby 5 days a week. (Starting next week Actually.) I sat down to blog about 10 times but all i could think to write is i have been cleaning all day.(story of my life) but it's a boring story. I have a few weddings booked for this summer that I am doing hair for, which is SO Exciting! Wedding hair is my FAVORITE. I have always been torn between starting a childrens boutique or doing a traveling wedding service. it's only 3 years until Jordan goes to school, so it's time to make some decisions and get a business plan together. I'm open to suggestions and advice......and Prayer is always appreciated.
I have been collecting wine Corks for an art project so if you have extras please save em for me. Sorry this blog is all over the place. im going to put up some pics of new dresses i've made.

messes with dresses

I took a leap of faith this week and ordered custom clothing tags for my new line of childrens clothing. nothing fancy just "designs by jenn boggs" i made reces dress last week and have already had 5 orders. i am really excited because this is really FUN! and if it could be a business well thats icing on the cake. the only down side is all the MESS! strings and cut fabric everywhere! if you have any friends or family that want some dresses just let me know.

scavenger hunt for trash

So the kids were bored and the yard was a mess......sooooo I made a scavenger hunt list (the kids were too young to read so I drew pictures of the trash I saw around the yard Pepsi can, plastic bag, milk jug lid, orange piece of balloon, broken sand shovel....ect.

The kids were occupied for 20 minutes and i got the yard cleaned up fun for all!!!!

crayon apron

I saw this idea at the farmers market on saturday!! It's a kids apron and at the bottom it holds crayons...so I just had to make it, here's my version.
Rece is already putting it to use. what a fun idea.

jordans grump face

I have tried and tried to get a picture of this look, he does it all the time and it makes me laugh out loud! He does it when he is trying to get his way.i don't fall for it. ha i love him!!

sizes

why is it that swimsuit sizes are SOOO off? If anything the sizes should run big so we can feel a bit skinny but NO a size 2 person wears a size 8 swimsuit my brothers this should not be.
